Content Theories


Menurut Stoner dan Freeman (1997 : h. 442) mengemukakan teori tentang motivasi yang dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan :
1.  Content Theories (Teori Kepuasan)
Content theories emphasize thewhat” of motivation the contents of individuals and goals and aspirations.  Content theories of motivation focus on the Inner needs, people will act in certain ways. This approach is associated with suchs tinkers as Abraham Maslow, Alderfer, McGregor, Herzberg, Atkinson and McClelland.
Dari kutipan tersebut di atas dapat diartikan bahwa teori tentang kepuasan atau kebutuhan, Belitung Tour berpusat pada “apa” dari motivasi. a)     Physiological needs :

Safety and security needs include job security, freedom from coercion or arbitrary treatment, and clearly defined regulations.
c)     Belongingness needs :
This is most strongly felt in relation to one’s family, but also affects the work environment. Unless employees fell they are an integral part of the organization, they will be frustated by an unmet need to belongand will be unlikely to respondend to higher-order opportunities or incentivitaes.
d)    Esteems needs :
Maslow described two types of esteem needs the desire for achievement and comptence and desire for status and recognition and in organization terms, people want to be good at their jobs; they also when they perform those jobs.
